FAQ

Q: What do you charge for wedding photography?

A: We have several wedding package options to choose from. We can also custom create a wedding package to fit almost any budget. From small and intimate to grand we have a package to suit your needs. Our A-La-Carte packages allow you to choose the services you desire and the photographs you want.

Q: Why should I invest in a wedding album?

A: Dozier offers several packages that include receiving ALL your wedding images on a DVD. For many of today's contemporary bridal couples this is all the rage. But this is a fleeting solution at best. Some recent research indicates that DVDs may not be the safest method for storing your valuable digital images. Storage methods will change over time and the ability to access the DVD may be lost. And, how much fun will it really be ten years from now to locate a DVD and look at images on a computer? On the other hand, your wedding memories carefully preserved in a beautiful wedding album will become a treasured heirloom piece which will last for many generations to come. Many years from now, when you are celebrating your anniversary day, your wedding album will bring up wonderful memories of your most special day. The Dozier Studio represents some of the finest album manufacturers in the world. We offer a wide selection of albums to fit every budget.

Q: Are there any additional charges for weddings held outside the Denver/Metro area?

A: No. Once you have chosen a package that meets your needs, there will never be any additional or hidden charges.

Q: Why should I hire a professional photographer when Uncle Joe and Aunt Martha both take lovely pictures?

A: While it may be true that Uncle Joe and Aunt Martha both take beautiful pictures, they should be able to relax and enjoy being a guest on your special day. Hiring a professional photographer ensures that no guest is burdened with the hefty responsibility of preserving the memories of your special day. Moreover, a good wedding photographer does more than just take pictures. She works behind the scenes to help organize, get people where they need to be, and ensure that your day stays on schedule.

Q: I hate having my picture taken; I don't think I'm very photogenic. What can I do to make sure I will like how I look in my wedding photos?

A: This is a common concern. Whether it is true or not, many people feel that they don't photograph well and can become camera shy. That is why Dozier Photography has several wedding packages that include a free engagement session. This session, which typically takes place several months before your wedding, is an opportunity for the bride and groom to meet the photographer who will be at their wedding. It is a chance to become more comfortable with the person behind the camera. After these photos are processed, the photographer, not a technician, will consult with the bride and groom about any concerns. This is an opportunity for the photographer to understand what you like and don't like. If you hate photos taken from your left side, we will learn that and remember it on your wedding day.

A: Having your make-up professionally done can make all the difference in how you feel about the way you look. Make-up artists use professional make-up meant for film that can do more to hide skin imperfections and soften the harsh light that can be present at outdoor weddings. Most salons offer this service. Make sure to ask if their make-up is meant for film.

Q: Should we take pictures together before or after the ceremony?

A: The answer to this question is as personal as any other choice you will make about your wedding day. While many of today's contemporary bridal couples opt to have photos taken early in order to spend more time with guests after the ceremony, others feel the tradition of not seeing each other before the ceremony is more important. Dozier's photographers will work with you and your wedding day schedule to make time for your photos no matter what your preference.
